What is your return policy?
Wylie's Wood and Leather Return Policy
Every item Wylie makes is built to last a lifetime (and then some). We know that sometimes issues arise during shipping or you change your mind on a color; so for moments like this, we've got you covered.
Return Window
We accept returns within 14 days of the purchase date.
Condition of Returned Items
To be eligible for a return, items must be in their original condition, unused, and with all original packaging. Items showing signs of use, damage, or alteration may not be accepted or may incur a restocking fee.
Custom or Personalized Items
Custom or personalized items are non-returnable unless there is a defect or error in the customization.
Defective or Damaged Items
If your item arrives defective or damaged, please contact us within 7 days of receipt for a full refund or replacement. We will cover the return shipping costs for defective or damaged items.
Proof of Purchase
Please provide proof of purchase, such as a receipt or order confirmation email, with your return.
Return Process
To initiate a return, please contact our customer service at workshop@wyliewoodworking.com to obtain a return authorization. Returns should be sent to [return address]. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective or damaged.
Refund Method
Refunds will be issued in the original form of payment. Alternatively, you may choose to receive store credit or an exchange.
Exclusions
Final sale, clearance, and non-returnable items are not eligible for return.
What do we mean by "Working like a dog. Driven by puppy love."?
Wylie’s Wood and Leather was created out of passion (to work like a dog) and purpose (that drives my puppy love). Two ingredients in my soul that I ignored for far too long in my life. They are also two integral elements that I desire to fuel in my daughters' lives. Passion and purpose are the torque and speed that allows me to move with grace and focus.
To work like a dog is to work with loyalty, commitment, determination and sacrifice. To be driven by puppy love is to be flooded with an unquenchable thirst and child-like enthusiasm to forever hone my craft. At the intersection of passion and purpose is my creative mind and my practical skills. These are the crossroads where Wylie lives and thrives. It is where these parts of myself are endlessly challenged to debate, disagree, and find harmony in order to go beyond simply accomplishing a goal. Instead it invites the thrill to surprise myself with something better than what I initially set out to do.
In the morning we take sawdust in our coffee and when night comes we celebrate a day or service. Working like a dog. Driven by puppy love. Born out of passion and purpose, Wylie builds for you.
Where does our lumber come from?
Much of our wood is sourced from local, family owned lumberyards, however, our bowls come from my weekend hunts with my daughters.
Early on Saturday mornings, I take them for chocolate chip pancakes at our favorite diner. Afterwards, we drive from neighborhood to neighborhood in search of recently cutdown trees and load up on whatever we find. It’s hours of driving but the time with my girls is priceless. For me, I receive the precious gift of making memories with two little girls who haven’t yet reached the age where they see daddy as annoying. For them, they get to see their father committing himself to something he takes pride in. In turn, encouraging them to find the thing that inspires them in life.
(Now back to the wood). We load up our haul and head back to the shop where I cut them to the desired bowl blank dimensions, seal them, and put them on the shelf. Eventually,I throw it on the lathe and turn it until I uncover the bowl hidden within it. Each one of these trees was felled due to its withering age or poor health condition. Each one of these trees would have been wasted. Instead, they receive a new lease on life for you, as a beautiful bowl for your home.
Where do your leather carving designs come from?
Our designs are sourced from vintage patterns, dating between 60-80 years old. These are patterns that embrace Americana and celebrate days gone by. Now, these patterns have entered a renaissance. We are fortunate to incorporate them into our warm, timeless, minimalist design, before being incorporated into your home.
How do you decide on what you make in each collection?
One of my favorite parts of the day is when I strike up a conversation with a family member, friend, client or perfect stranger surrounding a product I am working on. What comes up quickly in discussion every single time is their suggestion on what I should make next. I cherish these moments, because these suggestions create ideas, paths to something new, opportunities to brainstorm, and elevate what I thought was achievable.
